Sample Screencast

The person in the video is trying to describe the directory of his tumblr page. He is navigating between his tabs, which may have been a bit confusing if he weren't using a screencast for it. Screencasting this is easier and more efficient than than just saying it because you have a visual to reinforce what is being told. Also being able to see what is told and following along with the mouse allows the viewer to think that they are doing less work than finding the tabs on his page themselves.

My favorite video on YouTube

This is my favorite video on YouTube because Hank Green makes me feel like I'm not alone in my opinions. Usually my friends disagree with me on just about everything but I watch vlogbrothers videos on YouTube and Hank almost always shares the same opinion as me. This video was the one topic that all of my friends and I could agree on. This thing called "Friendzone" is not the blame of one person in the relationship. The fault is on both parties and Hank says that straight out.

My Favorite Blog/Website

Currently, as far as social networking is concerned, my favorite website is probably tumblr, with facebook closely behind. I love how open tumblr allows you to be. You are free to express yourself as you please and can easily find others with the same interests through tagging, searching, ad tracking posts. For example, if you were to go to my tumblr page and search "Video Games" you would be able to see all of my posts that are about video games. If you like what you see you could then decide to "follow" me (kind of like on Twitter) and you will be able to see all of my posts from there on out.

A Little About Akeem

I was born in South Carolina, then moved to East Point and then Palmetto, GA before coming to Carrollton. I'm a Mass Communications major with an interest of voice acting and/or commentating, which I hope to ccomplish through radio work. I like to write in my spare time, usually poems oe stories based on photographs that I find on the internet. I mainly use tumblr, facebook, and twitter now to connect with friends and express myself. Five years ago, though, I was just getting into facebook and had just deleted my myspace account.
